Proof “Planned Parenthood” Receives funds from the State of Texas

Please find attached a listing of the entities that received grants from the Department of State Health Services in fiscal year 2009.  The names are as they appear on the Comptroller of Public Accounts’ database of state payees so some have been abbreviated or may appear to be similar in name but have different payee numbers on their system.  There were some duplicates because the name was slightly different; however, I believe I have caught these and this should be a clean copy.  If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact me at (512) 458-7674 or by e-mail at wilson.day@dshs.state.tx.us.

The entities in italics are those who have requested a ruling (the San Antonio entity should be called Planned Parenthood Trust of San Antonio – not “Centers”).

 

Argument: While the three “Planned Parenthood” entities, who have requested your ruling, claim to receive no funds from the State of Texas, Texas certainly believes it sends them funds. The checks are written by the Comptroller General and the funds are received by the three entities

 

By virtue of the above proof, TEAB calls into play all the above entities and hereby establishes that ALL the above entities, not just those that are appealing for a ruling, receive funds from the State of Texas. This is important in establishing our request that your ruling cover all the above entities to avoid further distractions to the Office of the Attorney General.
